Bangkok
Up early and had “Continental Breakfast” which was actually the American Breakfast of pancakes.
Picked up by tour guide Jerry at 8am. Took the skytrain and riverbus to the Grand Palace.
Went off to hire a riverboat and went for a trip along the canals. Weather overcast, but hot and humid.
Landed at Wat Arun, had a walk around there then over the river to Wat Pho. Having visited there, had lunch nearby at a small market. Then took taxi up to Vimanmek Palace but it was closed for a civic event so went to Wat Benjamabophit where there was a monking ceremony going on. Observed the current living residence of the King and Queen (Chitrlada Palace) but not much to see, apparently.
I think we then visited Wat Rajnada, maybe somewhere else then back to the riverboat to get the skytrain back to the hotel. Had a swim then dinner at Baan Khanitha.
